In the 1950s, we pioneered the use of microporous nylon film for filtration – and in the six decades since, have invented hundreds of products using membrane chemistries optimized for diverse applications. We established our leadership in filtration with innovations like Millex^® filters, the first disposable syringe filter devices; the iconic Stericup^® filter units; and Milli-Q^® systems, the first lab-scale ultra-pure water solutions. Laboratories across academic, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and industrial sectors rely on Millipore^® filtration for high-performance specialty membranes and filter devices, and many researchers specify Millipore^® filters when standardizing protocols.
